Frames per second (FPS) may help you determine your game performance. If it is too low, your game performance may lower too. Showing FPS on the screen thus proves helpful.

This article has what you need to do to show FPS in Escape from Tarkov.

1. Use the Game’s built-in options

Escape from Tarkov has a command console that allows users to show FPS in the game. These are the in-game steps to follow if you want to show FPS.

Open the game

• Open up the command console in the game
• By default, you should press the tilde key (usually the button just below Esc on your keyboard). Doing so brings up a search bar that will appear at the bottom of your screen.
• In the search bar, type fps 1 to bring FPS to the top right corner. Make sure you type the letters in lower case and have space before the number, otherwise, it will not work

The following are other options to show FPS in Escape from Tarkov. Each of them shows FPS information differently.

• fps 0: Turns FPS information overlay off
• fps 1: Enables a small overlay displaying the FPS limit, the current FPS, as well as the ping (RTT).

Currently, Escape from Tarkov is not in steam. It only runs via its own Launcher since it is still in beta. So, to show FPS in this game via Steam, you have to add it to Steam Library first. To do so;

• Open Steam
• Go to the Games menu
• Click on add a non-steam game to my Library
• Launch the game through Steam then proceed to show FPS.

To show FPS through Steam:

• Go to Steam
• Go to Settings
• Click on In-Game
• Go to in-game FPS counter
• From the in-game FPS counter drop-down, pick a position in which you want FPS to display, i.e., Top-left, Top-right, Bottom-right or Bottom-left.

After this, open Escape from Tarkov. Look at the position of the screen you chose, the FPS counter will be displayed there. It is usually fairly small, appearing on top of the game.

3. Use NVIDIA GeForce Experience
