This is the online documentation set for SEGGER Embedded Studio version 5.42a.
This article will explain the generic Embedded Studio project format. Note: The following project format description is only meant as a reference. We do not recommend manual modifications of Embedded Studio Project Files. For modifications we recommend to always use the Embedded Studio GUI. Otherwise the project file may be. The memory-usage graph will only be visible if your active project's target is an executable file and the file exists. If the executable file has not been linked by SEGGER Embedded Studio, memory-usage information may not be available. Displaying section information.
- Nonetheless, I would prefer using Embedded Studio IDE for the same purpose (only debugging, flashing purposes). I think the IDE is made for this purpose and does what it has to do for any plattform. I tried to load the elf file in the environment and hence had no luck no flash or debug the STM32 target.
- SEGGER Embedded Studio remembers the dock position and visibility of each window in each perspective. The most common use for this is to lay your windows out in the Standard perspective, which is the perspective used when you are editing and not debugging. When SEGGER Embedded Studio starts to debug a program, it switches to the Debug.
- Embedded Studio contains SEGGER's own runtime and floating point libraries, compilers and linkers. All of these components were developed from the ground up specifically for resource-constrained embedded systems, are extensively used internally at SEGGER, and are continuously updated and developed.
