Hi, Gang.
I've been a user of AA since ver. 1.5. There are still a lot I would like to see in the form of feature additions, and I have had nothing but good things to say about the program (having been a ProTools user since the dawn of daws) until recently.
Lately, I've been experiencing a lot of sluggish behavior with the program, and I am posting this to make sure that it's not on my end. Here are the symptoms...please let me know if any of you can think of a direction to explore.
(All of this started with the last update to CC 2014 - cannot say when that was, but within the last week to 10 days)
1. when moving multiple clips of audio on a track in time or from track to track, after releasing the mouse button, an hourglass appears, and it takes MINUTES for the cursor to return, to be able to perform the next command.
a. while this is happening, if I go to Task Manager to investigate what's happening, the 'memory (private working set)' column is starting to creep up in RAM usage. When the creeping stops, the cursor returns - it got up to 20GB today (out of 32GB).
b. further evidence of something being wrong - after EVERY command instruction, it takes at least a second for the action to be performed; this can be seen when the History window is open while performing commands.
2. Video Playback Issues:
a. I've now started to experience the video window goes black (while in Multitrack mode) if I just returned from Waveform mode. The only way to get it to work again is to (1) rt-clk on video window ans set 100% Scaling then (2) rt-clk on video and set Best Fit scaling.
It will continue to work until I go to Waveform mode, upon my return to Multitrack mode, I have to 'reset the scaling' again.
b. Video playback is stuttering, sometime taking 10 seconds to play normally [I have audio/video playing off of my 550+MB/sec internal RAID-0 array, 65% capacity]
3. Random Crashing - session only contains 16 tracks and 6 busses <--- Solved this with uninstalling CC 2014, reinstalling 2014 and NOT importing CC preferences (the issues above still remain).
a. when switching to Waveform mode from Multi mode, CRASH
b. importing from OMF, every 5th import, CRASH
If anyone has any insight, please let me know.

Since the installation of the 7.0.1, both CC and CC 2014 are behaving badly. I want... I NEED to revert back to 7.0, but I no longer have the version option...unless you know where to get it.
Aside from it never crashing or slowed down functionality, I really liked having video playback in Waveform mode that synced with audio as it appears in the multitrack session....great for Dx cleanup and audio restoration.
This bug cost me $400 in billable time because of crashes and performance issues.
I have a Director's Review session on Friday at 3pm, and I really need to get this solved ASAP.

PS. Audition CC never behaved like this either until the 7.0.1 CC 2014 install upgrade.

HOw could u create data source without selecting the driver corrsponding to MS SQL.?

My application uses DB-Library (ntwdblib.dll) to communicate with SQL Server 2014. We are having issues calling bcp related functions like bcp_init which always returns FAIL status. Our application was working fine with SQL Server 2012 and all other previous
SQL releases. But we are getting below error in SQL 2014,
msg 4801, state 1, severity 16 : Insert bulk is not supported over this access protocol.

I've read about it with earlier models, but nothing about the new ones.
I turned off the Automatic Graphics Switching in Energy Saver and just updated my CUDA NVIDIA driver. It's still a problem. Any ideas on what to do next?

I have recently downloaded Adobe CC2014 and am having issues. I have done an uninstall and clean re-install of the latest version of Fusion 5 and still have the same errors/issues. I also did a clean uninstall and reinstall of my CC2014 applications but the issues persist.

In Photoshop CC2014: The Extensis Plug-in could not locate a running copy of the FMCore application. Auto-activation plug-in functionality will be disabled.

Everything worked perfectly until I installed CC2014.You really aren't reading what we write.
Let's break it down:
Suitcase isn't working with the new application versions, because Suitcase has bugs in it's code or just doesn't know about the new application versions.
The only way to fix that is to fix the code for Suitcase.
Suitcase is written by Extensis, so only Extensis can fix the code for Suitcase.
So you are waiting on Extensis to fix their code to work correctly with the new applications.
This is not about the CC 2014 applications, this is about Extensis code not working, and Extensis needing to provide an update to make their code work.
To get a working version of Suitcase (which requires fixing bugs in Suitcase), you need to talk to Extensis.I have lost the ability to be productive since purchasing the photographers CC plan and installing Photoshop CC 2014.
1. Send photo from Lightroom 5.7 to PSCC 2014 then edit using photoshop and NIK collection plugin. Photo begins to loads into PSCC2014 then hang-up and PSCC stops responding causing me to force quit PSCC or photo loads into NIK Collection Plugin without any issues, editing is performed, but when I click 'OK' the program hangs up, ( photoshop stops responding), resulting in a Force Quit and loss of all work.
2. Send image from Lightroom 5.7 to Photoshop CC 2014 using 'Edit In'. PSCC2014 hangs up while loading image and has to be forced to quit or it loads photo, work is preformed and after clicking 'SAVE' to return to LR 5.7 photoshop hangs up and stops responding, causing loss of all edited work.
I have uninstalled PSCC 2014 along with presets and then reinstalled. No change in outcomes! I have updated and reinstalled the NIK Collection Plugin with no change in outcome. I am unable to get any work done for the last 4 days. I am considering canceling my CC account and trying to return to working with LR 5.7 and Photoshop CS6 as I had before purchasing CC photographers plan providing I can with success return to that configuration.
Can anyone help? I sure hope so.

5. Tweek virtual memory, - clean cache, clean temp files,

Ceremony completed render except for export in older computer. Please fix issue or give money back until you do!
The rendering of footage of:
1. render worked (on complex Ceremony 19 min sequence with AVCHD format and HDV) in an old computer. - Core 2 DUO Quad 8 gb ram 2g
b GPU
2. Same sequence of Ceremony (19 min sequence with AVCHD format and HDV) did not work in the faster computer. - i7 QUAD core 16 ram
1 or 2 GB GPU
3. Reception sequence of HDV footage only did not on both computer.
Please call the exterminator and get rid of all the bugs. I am spending more time

Unable to save preferences, because the file is locked, you do not have the necessary permissions or the file is in use by another program. Use the 'Get Info' from the Finder to make sure that the file is unlocked and you have the file permissions. If the problem persists, save the document in another file or duplicate it in the Finder.
That is kind of self explanatory: your preferences cannot be altered because the file is locked or the permissions are messed up on the directory. That's also probably why the migration of previous settings failed.
As the message says: you need to fix the permissions on the preferences file and folders.Hi, every time I edit a sound clip or and an effect and then move the play head back, the application crashes.

I have a very weird SFTP connection issue with Dreamweaver CC (2014). I am on a Mac running 10.9.4 and have no problem connecting to my server through SFTP with Dreamweaver CS 6. However, using the exact same settings on CC (2014), I get the following error: 'An FTP error occurred - cannot make connection to host. Your login or password is incorrect. Please check your connection information'.
I am truly at a loss here. Command line connection works without problems.

Is there any limit with number of login sessions with your SFTP?
Could you check with Filezila or similar FTP client and connect to your site, see if you get any error there?
